La Joie Partagée is a humanitarian, faith‑driven non‑profit organization dedicated to restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity to street children in Cameroon. According to UNICEF, more than 150 million children live on the streets worldwide and over 27,000 of them are in Cameroon, exposed daily to hunger, violence, illness, and extreme vulnerability.
Our association was created in response to this urgent reality. We believe that every child deserves love, protection, and a chance to build a meaningful future. Beyond providing material support, we work to change society’s perception of these children, revealing the immense potential, intelligence, and talent hidden behind their struggles.
By helping them, we help our nation grow. Together, we can offer these children a future filled with dignity, hope, and opportunity.
Our mission is to support street children in breaking free from drug dependence by providing psychological, spiritual, and emotional guidance. We equip them with resilience strategies that help them face daily challenges in healthier and more constructive ways.
We also work toward their financial independence by teaching practical skills and small trades that empower them to leave street life behind and build stable, sustainable futures.
Beyond material assistance, we focus on deep inner healing. Removing a child from the street is not enough the street must also be removed from the child. Our long‑term support aims to create real, lasting transformation.
To achieve this, La Joie Partagée is committed to building a safe, family‑like care center where children can grow, heal, and rediscover hope.

What We Do?
We provide nutritious meals to street children, ensuring they have the strength and stability needed to focus on healing, learning, and building a better future.
Access to clean drinking water is essential for every child. We make sure vulnerable children stay healthy and hydrated by supplying safe, reliable water every day.
Many street children face untreated injuries, trauma, and illness. We offer essential medical support and psychological care to help them recover and regain confidence.
Education opens the door to opportunity. We support children with basic schooling and vocational training, giving them the skills they need to build an independent future.
We offer safe and stable living spaces for street children, giving them protection, structure, and a supportive environment where they can heal, learn, and rebuild their lives with dignity.
Our team provides continuous social support, guidance, and mentorship to help children overcome trauma, develop confidence, and reintegrate into society with stronger emotional and social foundations.

We visited the orphanages La Voie du Paradis and Le Foyer du Sourire et du Partage, each caring for about fifteen children. The purpose of this visit was to explore potential partnership opportunities to help orient street children toward safer environments and to assess the specific needs of each center. We also provided food supplies and school materials to support their daily needs.

To offer an unforgettable Christmas to street children, we organized a festive day filled with meals, clothing, toys, and joyful activities. A total of 64 children were welcomed in a warm and caring atmosphere, with games, an educational talk, and a special grooming and beauty session for the children. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and the support of social services, this celebration brought hope, comfort, and renewed joy to young people living in vulnerable conditions.

The activity of 2 March 2024 took place at the “YIDE BIKOUE” orphanage in the Baladji neighborhood, near the Alliance Française in Ngaoundéré. Our goal was to share a meal with several street children and offer them a warm moment of joy, comfort, and human connection. The mission was a success, as every child left with a smile and a renewed sense of hope.

On 16 December 2024, La Joie Partagée organized its final activity of the year, marking the close of a season filled with solidarity and compassion. For this special occasion, we wanted to offer street children a warm and joyful Christmas, allowing them to experience the spirit of the celebration despite their difficult circumstances. Our goal was simple: to show them that they are not alone, even if they no longer have a family to care for them. The activity took place at the “Agapé” center and featured creative workshops, a football competition, educational discussions, and a shared meal enjoyed by everyone.
